This muggy day with Emily in March was a good one. She came down to Athens for a weekend afternoon and we grabbed lunch and thrifted. We'd decided for this shoot that we didn't want to come up with a concrete idea, instead, we were going to let our clothing finds drive the vision. I think both of us were expecting to do something a little more out of the box, but when we found this pretty dusty pink dress we decided another golden hour field shoot was inevitable. I'd scouted this location out a year prior, but never actually ended up using it so I decided this would be the perfect time to. Working with Emily is always fun because we bounce so easily off of each other it's such a collaborative experience. The end result ended up really serene and moody (can those occur at the same time?). As we were heading back to the car, I had her lay down in a patch of clover on a whim and some of my favorite images of the day came out of it.
