The day that Taylor Swift announced evermore I was honestly shaking a majority of the day. As if folklore hadn't already made my year, here was Taylor dropping another surprise album. The second I saw the promo photo she chose for Willow, I knew I had to shoot it. I loved the use of drapey fabrics and the light, feminine look the pretty lace gown had. I reposted the photo to my story and asked if anybody wanted to recreate it with me and my heart swelled when Marihaidyn replied. Marihaidyn and I have had a love affair going on over Instagram for months now. We share mutual friends and are constantly messaging and commenting about things the other posts. She makes the most beautiful playlists and is honestly just somebody I really admire. She also made it clear that she really values my photography and even offered a trade of art, hers being yoga, which means the absolute world to me. I can't believe we hadn't shot together already, but I'm kinda happy this was the one we went with.

We did this back in my apartment in Athens. I'd spent the last week in and out of thrift shops looking for fabrics and found this beautiful, silky slip dress that was perfect. Morning of, I pinned up all the curtains I own around the living room and ran to Target where I found these headbands in the kids' section. Sometimes with a shoot, you just know that you're making magic, and this shoot gave me butterflies the entire time. I had my folklore record playing, Marihaidyn was twirling around my fabric palace, and despite the fact I had been worried about not having enough light I knew what I was doing was working. Then we finished the session off with one of the best yoga practices I have ever experienced. The whole morning was honestly just a beautiful celebration of creativity, music, and evermore and will forever be one of my favorite experiences.
