To be honest, I'm not one for thrifting. I find it so draining to pick through so many clothes and items to find one good thing, but when I went a couple weeks ago I was surprised to see so many outfits I thought would work well for photoshoots. So I decided that I wanted to do a Goodwill challenge. My friend (and frequent model) Leah and I went to Goodwill and set off to make complete outfits (+ the mirror) only using things from Goodwill. Full transparency, we didn't buy the shoes or jewelry there since accessories are closed right now, but the rest of these outfits are straight from the store! It was so much fun picking out things we never would have considered buying otherwise. I went into the shoot knowing that the clothes we found would help me determine the location and direction I took with the photos. We ended up choosing some really cool blazers, and I had the perfect abandoned diner I'd been wanting to shoot at all summer. We brought along Leah's record player and a vinyl to play around with and just created. This was such a cool way to approach a shoot and definitely something I would love to do again in the future.
